W. Hope Vernon

Hope joined Bendin, Sumrall & Ladner in 2025. Her practice is devoted to civil defense and focuses primarily on the representation of healthcare providers and hospitals in cases involving allegations of medical malpractice.

Hope earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law in 2017. While at Georgia State Law, Hope was active on Moot Court, served as the Vice President of Communications on the Moot Court Board, and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for a litigation and writing class. Hope also interned with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office in the Crimes Against Women and Children Unit under the Supreme Court of Georgia Student Practicing Act, as well as with the Fulton County Superior Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Georgia Supreme Court.

After graduation, Hope completed a year-long clerkship with Justice Harold Melton at the Georgia Supreme Court. For the past seven years, Hope has focused on defending hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice cases.
