Karen A. Hubbard

Of Counsel

Karen joined Bendin Sumrall & Ladner in 2017. Her practice is devoted to civil defense, and focuses primarily on the representation of healthcare providers and hospitals in cases involving allegations of medical malpractice. Karen graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986. After graduating from Georgetown, she worked for a prominent Atlanta law firm, conducting all aspects of civil litigation. Karen has extensive experience in motion and brief writing at all levels, including appellate briefing. Karen also worked in house at Delta Air Lines, Inc., and spent several years assisting smaller litigation firms with legal research and writing.

Karen received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. In her free time, Karen enjoys cooking, reading and streaming Netflix while on her Stairmaster.

Karen represents physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other licensed health care providers in matters involving allegations of professional negligence and/or medical malpractice.

General Liability
Karen’s general liability experience includes the defense of hospitals in premises liability cases and other matters involving allegations of ordinary negligence.
