Layne Zhou

Of Counsel

Layne is an Associate at Bendin, Sumrall & Ladner and her practice focuses primarily on the representation of health care providers and hospitals in professional liability matters. Her appellate experience and strong legal writing background enable her to effectively address complex legal and procedural issues at all levels of litigation. Layne also represents health care professionals before administrative and regulatory bodies, including state and national licensing boards.

Layne earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and her law degree from Florida State University College of Law, where she served as an editor of the Law Review. She began her legal career with a state appellate judicial clerkship, gaining valuable experience in legal research, analysis, and appellate decision-making before entering private practice in civil defense.
