Tyler Jones focuses his practice on business litigation, employment law, and insurance defense, including premises liability and professional liability. His experience includes all aspects of litigation, pleading and motion practice, and discovery. Tyler has experience defending employers and insurers in workers’ compensation claims, coverage, and other related disputes.
Tyler has broad litigation experience including while in school at the University of Georgia, working for the Gwinnett County Law Department where he assisted in developing county ordinances and representing the county’s interests in tax disputes. He also worked for a general practice law firm in Athens, Georgia where he worked on all phases of criminal trials as well as on landlord-tenant disputes and family law cases. Tyler was also involved in the law school’s Environmental Law Practicum where he was an author on a guidance document analyzing southeastern states’ water allocation policies and regulations. Tyler received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Georgia. Before beginning law school, Tyler spent summers in Alaska working as a ferry boat captain.
